A Question For Someone With The Answer What do you do if you really love someone but they are indifferent back? I would do anything for my girlfriend. Literally anything she asked and I would do it, or at least try hard. Whenever she texts I drop whatever I'm doing and reply immediately and I strive to change both my personality and physique to suit her idea of a perfect man. She however is largely indifferent towards me. Whenever I see her with her friends she essentially acts like I'm not there, only talking to me to put me down in front of everyone. She continually talks about how 'hot' other guys are and berates me on everything from my hair colour to my muscle tone. When I see her alone it's much better, but because she is apparently trying to avoid getting bored of me she very rarely agrees to meet up, and most of the time she cancels last minute. I really care for her and would be heartbroken if it were to end, but my question to you is is it better to be heartbroken than downtrodden? Is this even a relationship at all? I don't know what to think right now.

Quiet Night In The room is dark, the house is quiet, and all the madness of the day is forgotten. All are asleep... All bar one, that is. They too are silent, but they are far from slumber. Surrounded by quilts and cushions, the duvet threatens to swallow them whole save a small head peeking out the top. They huddle in the embrace of the sheets. A mug of tea steams quietly on the side, but it's maker is too lost in another world to drink it. This person is a voyager on a cruise, being taken to new places every night, to the limits of possibility and far, far beyond. This person is a reader, just like us. We know where true joy can be found.

Against The Rain We’re standing on the high street watching the water rush down and force the lesser mortals off the streets. We have no coats, no jumpers... just our summer gear. Out in the open, unafraid of our enemy. We’re here in defiance, in refusal, in protest at being kept inside for so long by mere rain (although my resolve begins to dissolve as icy fingers claw through my shirt and into my skin). The faintly amusing slap of a foot falling in a puddle punctuates the gentle hissing of the rain. I shudder slightly, and we all agree that we’ve probably made our point by now. We run to cover like the cowards we are, doing our best to rub #life back into our raw, frozen hands.
