Symbols - Chapter 2 (Prologue) @BethyBoo There were five altogether. Four were forged and melted by war. One was at peace. But this story isn't about the nice one. This story is about the one that won the war. The one that went into war as a human. The one that came out a shapeshifter. Two weeks. Three weeks. Four weeks. I stared at that crystal for so long I could no longer remember why. I was in the sky, amongst the clouds. Clouds scarred by war. You may wonder how a cloud can be scarred? Well, I'll explain to you why. My name is Amifox, or Mifo as some have come to call me. I look like a human, in fact, technically, I am a human. But really, I am what you call a Shaman. The smart ones down beneath the clouds say we have magic, that we are the wisest of the tribes. They're wrong. We don't have magic. Our "magic" is just part of our natural anatomy. A dictionary definition, if we had one, would be: 'A shaman is a creature capable of changing its molecular structure to fit its surroundings, or, of its own accord.' So there you have it. Just a chameleon. Except, we can go much further than colour. Let me introduce you to Malakor.
Symbols - Chapter 1 You pass a girl in the street. She's young, maybe 15 or so, and you think you see a light. You double take. Yes, there is a light, on her stomach. Even through her jacket and top. It could be her phone, but no, it's too bright, too... Natural. You turn around and see her walk down an alleyway. Curiosity takes over ignorance, and you decide to follow. Something tells you that you shouldn't, but something isn't right about that girl. You walk quietly up to the alley corner, and slowly peer round the corner. To your surprise the girl isn't there. The alley has nothing in it. The end is blocked off, so there is nowhere the girl could of gone. You step out into the open and walk down the alley. Suddenly a hair raising roar comes from above, reverberating off the walls. You cover up your ears and look up, eyes wide in fear. There's nothing there. Then a head appears over the edge of the building up above you. A huge body flings itself down into the alley and lands in front of you, trapping you in the small space. With nowhere to go, you can only look into the huge, snake like eyes. The creature bares its teeth, drool strung through its jaws and dripping onto the floor. It makes a move towards you. You scream. To Be Continued...
