Tear-Stained Skies (or A Plea From Earth To Man) My tear-stained skies reveal the depth of my pain But you carry on, unflinching. My tears they fall constantly; you call them "rain" How can I be more convincing? I'm raped by you daily: I bleed oil and coal, My seas poisoned, forests stripped bare. I was unspoiled until 4 billion years old You've ruined me but you don't care. You live on my surface by my grace alone: Kindly, benign mother nature I'll quake you awake and I'll destroy your home To show you how much I hate you.
