The Horrible New Beginnings. It was Christmas morning and everyone but I was unwrapping presents. I was cooking breakfast. I was cooking pancakes. "Jane! Jane! Look what I got!" I heard a voice say. I turned around. It was Ashley carrying a box full of art supplies. He loved coloring and doodling. I smiled at the hyper little nine year old. he jumped up and down and ran back into the living room. I giggled and flipped the last pancake. It was almost done. Come on... Come on... Come on... PERFECT. I was done. I set up the table and placed out the breakfast. Orange Juice and milk was in the middle of the table. I went out into the living room and it was full of wrapping paper. Sugar looked at me. and so did Andy. Ash and Shadow, the little kids, were unwrapping the rest of there presents. Shadow handed Sugar one of her presents. She opened it and found a shirt. I chuckled. It was from Ashley Purdy`s fashion line. She looked at me. "Breakfast is ready" I said and everyone flooded to the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and chuckled, going into the kitchen. Everyone was already eating. "Jane! The presents under the tree are yours!" Shadow said. Her silver hair shined in the sun light. I smiled and we finished up our breakfast and went back out into the living room. There were five presents left. I opened one... Then the other... Then the other... Then the other... Then the last. I got hair ties, a locket with a picture with all of us, I loved it. I also got a new laptop... I froze. I turned my head. Andy bit his lips and looked around suspiciously. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. I heard a knock on the door. Curiously, I got up and answered the door. "Ryan! Felix..." I said. Felix wore a sad smile. I smiled back. I also had a smile that was sad. Maya and Edgar barked excitedly. I moved out of the doorway and Shadow walked up to Felix and Ryan. She hugged them both. "Hi!" She smiled. They came in and greeted Shadow. Then walked into the living room and greeted the rest... Could today get any better?
