Tears Behind Smiles She made her own breakfast and finished getting ready for school. 'Bye mom ! I'm leaving now. Remember I won't be home until late because I'm hanging out with Jeremiah. Have a good day !' Called Jasmine to her mother. She got no reply, but knew her mom heard, so she just left and figured she would confirm later on through text. Jasmine lived too close to the school to take a bus and her mother refused to bring her since the beginning of the new year. Lucky for her today wasn't snowing and it was supposed to be sunny for the rest of the week. The week before she had to walk in a snow storm (it was negative two degrees). She hated walking, but she wasn't able to convince her mother to continuer bringing her. Jasmine finally made it to school and went to her locker. First class of the day was her favorite, art. She had a big graffiti project she was working on and hers was looking the best out of the class so far. Maybe because she had experience, but she liked to just believe that she was the best. The only thing she disliked about her art class, were the people in it. Jennifer Bosquen and her 'sidekicks' Sammy and Selina. They were the three that commuted to most of Jasmine's torture, but it didn't matter to them that they hurt her. And they were right on time to start her day like every other day. 'Hey Jas ! How was your weekend. I heard that you had some, well we can just leave it at 'fun'. Jennifer said. 'It was fine Jenny. I didn't do anything regretful like your ignorant self might think !' replied Jasmine. 'Why do you insist on hurting Jenny's feelings, Jas ? What have we ever done to you' remarked Sammy. 'You mean you three are too stupid to remember. Well it's ok because I forgot too. It's already escaped my mind because it didn't phase me' snickered Jasmine. At this, the three girls walked away realizing they weren't gonna get to you. Maybe they would come back later. As for now Jas was free to work on her project in peace without having to worry about the wrath if the trio.

Tears Behind Smiles Chapter One Today it seemed so much harder to get out of be than usual. Maybe it had something to do with what she did the night before. When Jasmine remembered what she did, she started freaking out. Did anyone find out ? What were they going to think of her now ? She's going to get hurt today more than ever. Should she risk it and go to school or fake being sick. Her family didn't know she had #depression, and she had used the so k excuse way too much. Her mom would get suspicious. 'Jasmine ! Are you up yet ! Time to get ready for school !' Her mom called up the stairs. 'Yea, mom. Ill be right down !' She got out of bed and picked her clothes out and started to get ready. She went downstairs for breakfast, but it wasn't there. 'Mom, where is my breakfast ?' She asked. 'Your lazy ass can make you own breakfast ! Don't expect me to do everything for you, Jasmine.' This seemed to be happening more, lately. Jasmines mom seemed to of stopped caring about her. Maybe it was all the 'sick' days she took, but who knew at this point. Maybe she was just like everyone else.

Tears Behind Smiles Prologue She was staring at the ceiling, thinking about what would become of her. She wasn't wanted anymore, by anybody. What did she ever do to deserve this kind of treatment ? That's the question that ate at her mind for the days she was trapped in bed. Nobody felt sorry for her being depressed. They just decided it was cowardly. Why let people get into your head ? She didn't know why. It's just how she reacted to the constant comments if how ugly or fat or stupid she was. It was something new every day that brought her down. And on this day it reached the top, then went overboard. She was in a constant state of her own mind trapped like the bars of her prison were unbreakable. The chains were wrapped so tight it was suffocating her. There was nothing she could do, but relive the stories of her #life. And that's what drove her to her end.

Nobody Sees Farther Through They see the smiles and the fun personality. But what's behind it all. Nobody pays attention to the girl who sits alone. She may seem happy but behind those teeth filled smile, is a girl with tears in her eyes and the bad story inside.
