SHOW TIME. I started my Post round in the usual humdrum manner ; I slid the side door of the caddy sized, red Post Office van ,to the open position ,and carefully decanted my much needed ,trustworthy delivery trolley. I delved deep into the right hand bag of my double bagged trolley and pulled a carefully banded bundle of mail ,and placed it into my left arm ....ready for delivery in a Military fashion ;so to speak. As I reached the top end of Mossgiel Road ( even numbers) ,one of my many Streets on my delivery , a favourite customer of mine's, quickly closed his gate and walked towards me intently. George asked, " Gavin, ' do you know where the Pictures car park is ?' " I replied," no George ,' but if I find out ,I'll pop a wee note through your letter box' ". I finished my round that Saturday ;none the wiser as to where the Picture car park was located... After a ( rowdy) weekend break I started my Post run on the Monday in the same ( usual ) humdrum manner...as I finished my run ,I bumped into George.I said to George," did you find out where the Pictures car park was?" " Yes Gavin, ' I did...and wait till you hear this. I stood at the Burger van with the wee Man ,looked down and there was a tenner at my feet...when I picked it up, it wasn't just a tenner ,it was £85...I did ask about to see if anyone had dropped money. I said to George, " Bet your glad you found out where the Pictures car was". George replied, " it payed for my day oot Gavin".
