Book News I really want to post the first chapter to my book, but as of yet I haven't written it. I've written the prologue, a random chapter and the last chapter.. It's all over the place at the minute and I'm balancing school work, music practice and the rest of my #life plus really wanting to write this book. So I'm sorry if it doesn't get uploaded very quickly, the time between each upload is likely to be at least a week, but I guess it just adds to the suspense!

Hillsborough I'm not a Liverpool fan, but seeing the pictures off all those who died at the Hillsborough disaster gets me choked up every year. There were children as young as ten that died that day, it makes me sick to read what Alan Davies said about Liverpool refusing to play on the anniversary.

Homework I go a Grammar school, yet I've left all my homework to the day before it's due in. Wish me luck.

The Help Just watched The Help. It is such an inspiring movie, and a real tear jerker too! It really illustrated, for me, how disgustingly black people were treated. I need to go and read that book!

Prologue The pain of its teeth sinking into my wrist is nothing compared to the pain of its venom running through my veins, poisoning my bloodstream. Compared to that its teeth are caressing feathers and yet I let it poison me willingly. I watch as my veins swell to the surface of my skin and turn black, making it look like I have tattooed lines across my arm. I clench my fist, my teeth, my body tenses up. A mixture of pain and power overwhelms me and yet I laugh. Power is an addiction, power is a curse and power is an advantage. My laugh echoes off the hollow walls that surround me, bouncing through the room. I feel the beetles fangs leave my skin, it scuttles away but not without me realising. I raise my newly empowered arm and release my clenched fist. The beetles implodes.
