Picking up the Pieces Stepping in the hallways of High School, you enter a jungle of misfits, drama and love. You’d stumble then fall, but eventually, you need to learn how to stand back up – confident and stronger than you were before. If not, you’d be left alone in the pit of failure. High School doesn’t only revolve around books, notebooks and lesson plans. You’d find that in this hellhole there is that one person who’ll stand by you and care for you in ways that others can’t. You, too, would find in this place people you’d learn to trust and accept despite their flaws. You’d fall in love and experience a whirlwind romance. You’d find in his/her arms comfort and love you’ve never thought existed. Others call it ‘puppy love’, but one insists its true love. Some time you’ll find your own peers, people whom you trust with all your heart and tend to accept them despite their many flaws. You find in their presence peace of mind and freedom. However, there will come a time where everything you once thought was perfect is now just a big mess. Friends begin to abandon you just because of stupid mistakes. You drift apart not really knowing what the reason is. A more heartbreaking experience though is finding that the person you once love isn’t the same person you fell in love with. You only end up being left alone in the dark wishing you never once met him/her. In the end, you shouldn’t pity yourself. You should know how to stand back up despite the difficulties you’ve undergo. In the end, there are people out there much more worthy of your tears. People who are true and loyal to your friendship and a person who is much more worthy of your love. High School isn’t all about these, instead, high school is all about standing back up despite the times they’ve pushed you down.
