Keys To The Kingdom I look out from my window, Stare out upon the land, I know these luscious plains, like I know the back of my hand. The Glint of the sun, bounces off my shield, with this piece of steel,I will never yield. My mind is sharp, just like my sword, And so much more, just give it a thought. So as I look out, don't forget me, I hold the keys to the kingdom, and I can give you freedom.
Beginning Of My Book James stood by the window, looking out on the drizzle of rain that comes with a grey April morning. James was a boy of twelve;with a sharp face framed by ear length brown curly hair. He was tall and reasonably stocky. He was waiting for his friend alex to show up,they had planned a day out with their his other friend Lilly. 'james, called his mother,I have to go out of town for a few days to a conference,do you mind staying here on Your own? You can have Alex over if you want. James wasn't surprised by the offer, his mum was a buissness woman so she never had any time for him, because of this, she was constantly trying to make the time on his own pleasearable. "yeah, sure,I'll be fine!"he assured her as he began to se lines of doubt etched on her face "when do you have to go then?" "ASAP she giggled, when's Alex coming?"now! Smiled James, for Alex was sprinting round the corner, and almost falling over whilst doing so. "sorry I'm late" said Alex as he skidded into the hall," my mum made me tidy my room! You know, that ussually takes a few days,we were lucky I'm so amazingly speedy!" he laughed and James asked him if he wanted to stay over for a couple of days. "oh,yeah that'd be brilliant!" he smiled a smile that took up most of his poor face's capasity. Just then,a shiny Volvo came down the drive and stopped near the front yard. Out of the front door came Lilly, she was carrying her rucksack, and had a triumphant smirk on her face. Both the boys looked at her and she laughed at their puzzeled expressions. "you boys should really start showering me with praise you know!" "and would your highness care to tell us why in the world we would do that?" Questioned James. Yeah, because we haven't spent all our lives doing that! "oh sut up alex!
A Character From My Book Father Paneloux is a learned, well-respected Jesuit priest. He is well known for having given a series of lectures in which he championed a pure form of Christian doctrine and chastised his audience about their laxity. During the first stage of the plague outbreak, Paneloux preaches a sermon at the cathedral. He has a powerful way of speaking, and he insists to the congregation that the plague is a scourge sent by God to those who have hardened their hearts against him. But Paneloux also claims that God is present to offer succor and hope. Later, Paneloux attends at the bedside of Othon's stricken son and prays that the boy may be spared. After the boy's death, Paneloux tells Rieux that although the death of an innocent child in a world ruled by a loving God cannot be rationally explained, it should nonetheless be accepted. Paneloux joins the team of volunteer workers and preaches another sermon saying that the death of the innocent child is a test of faith. Since God willed the child's death, so the Christian should will it, too. A few days after preaching this sermon, Paneloux is taken ill. He refuses to call for a doctor, trusting in God alone. He dies. Since his symptoms did not seem to resemble those of the plague, Rieux records his death as a "doubtful case." Hugo is boring but ver
