Forever Wandering. I wander through this desolate town whistling a tune. People wonder why I'm not blue, it's because I'm quittin' this place soon. The rain can pour, the sun may beam but this place is no dream, it's a grim ol' scene. It's only small but has no heart, like it's beginning to fall apart. People would weep if they opened their eyes, saw the sadness on these streets. Honest people trying to pave a way for the youth of today. The tune I whistle is all that keeps me sane, keeps misery off the brain. The sound of the train soothes the pain reminding me that I'll be gone before this place circles the drain. Somebody save me from this long and awful, lonely lane.
