Sunday 20 October 2013 This is a diary for my special dog Babi. I have decided to keep this diary to monitor the progress of deterioration of his kidneys. Babis is a 15 year old Jack Russell Parsons and I have him since he was 2 months old. In March last year I found out that he has kidney dysfunction and that he has not got too long to live. Since then he has his ups and downs. Today he had his first fit because of that. We walk up in the morning and he seemed it was one of his ups days. We went out for our morning walk, we came back, he took his medication and ate and then he went back to the bed for his after walk snooze. At around 10.15 I took him out for a quick wee but when we for home he felt really unwell. He could not step on his left side at all and seemed disoriented. While I was on the phone to the vet saliva started dribbling from his mount and he fly as if his tongue was too big for his mouth. I was so scared that I am going to lose him on the spot. The incident lasted for about 2 minutes but it felt it was going on for a lot longer. On the way to the vet he started feeling a lot better but still not 100%. The vet explained that this is because of his kidney disfunction. He is going for blood test tomorrow. I hope the end is not very close.
