What Lies Within He pinned her to the ground, his fingers digging into her shoulders as he struggled to keep hold. She thrashed beneath him. Her torso twisting, legs kicking wildly but he persisted. Pushing her torso into the dirt as he knelt over her, his rancid breath coming now in gasps. As he leaned closer, putting more weight behind his arms her erratic movements suddenly ceased. She stared unblinking and emotionless into his eyes. Time seemed to freeze, seconds turning to minutes as he waited. His body aching from the struggle, but he kept focus, his eyes locked to hers. As he stared, his arms tense, body prepared for another battle, her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Her mouth gaped, head thrust backward as a high pitched screech pierced his ears. Although her body was still he sensed moment below. Daring to move his focus he glanced towards her stomach, his heart thumping, eyes widening at the sight of movement beneath her skin...

I am a Vampire "But, your not a Vampire." stated Max. He had been through this a thousand times with Tom but it always fell on deaf ears. "Well, what about these fangs?" he replied, pulling back his furry lips to reveal the sharp teeth in his wide mouth. Max rolled his eyes. "Your a cat, we all have them." He raised his paw and began to lick, more out of frustration than the need for cleanliness. Tom sat back onto his hind legs, his face screwed up in anger. "Ok then." he began, Max continued to clean. " How come I sleep all day, and only come out at night?" he challenged, now standing proud again, his point clearly made. Max sighed. "Again...We are cats, we all do it." he yawned. It was dangerously close to nap time and his stomach was beginning to ache. "Come on." he said to Tom who was lost in thought. "Let's go find something to eat." and he turned and snaked through a nearby bush. Tom sighed. No one ever believed him. He glanced at the dark bushes, his hairs prickling with fear at the thought of entering such an unwelcome place. Who knew what was in there. He would go another route. Squeezing his eyelids closed he held his breath. The ginger and white of his fur gave way to black as his body began to flex and bulge. In a flash of soot like smoke he was gone, replaced by a somewhat podgy bat finding it difficult to fly. Eventually, with it's wings finally flapping in sync, it headed up and over the bush.

Delish With every bite her senses exploded. As the cold flesh rolled around the inside of her mouth she savoured the bitter taste like it was her last. Crimson fluid ran freely from the corners of her mouth, dripping from her chin and onto her chest. Yet she remained oblivious, her focus fixed on feeding. Swallowing slowly an evil smile crept across her face, exposing her crooked, deadly teeth. Raising her hands her eyes glistened as she surveyed the limb before her.

Skull The stress seemed to have gathered at the front of his skull. It felt like his head was being crushed between two solid slabs of stone, the rough surfaces grating against his damp skin. He clenched his jaw in anticipation of the next wave of pain, but this only intensified the pressure. Closing his eyes he slowly got to his feet, pausing as his vision cleared and the room settled on its axis. Why did he allow himself to feel like this?

Wrong Turn As the shards of glass began to enter his body, the transparent razors slicing through his flesh, he knew he had made a huge mistake.
