The Paradise The colours suddenly exploded. At first Jane couldn't make them all out, but when she found that familiar strong green, her mind was electrified. She spun round seeing more colours now: violet, maroon, bright yellow, and that sharp red of a solar eclipse. She shook with excitement, she had finally returned. The forest was only place in the world that Jane loved. At home the sky was grey and emotionless like her #life. Here she could do something extraordinary, she could loose herself and forget, because memory is a curse. Her heavy emotions pulled her down into the grass and she looked up at the sky. Clear blue. Her pupils dilated. All the stress of the past two years was worth it just for this moment. All that time she thought the forest was dead and she grieved for it like a loved one. Now it was the reunion, the blitz of joy. She would never leave again. She couldn't leave again.
