The Grass Is Always Greener Preface I didn't have the best #life, the best family, or the best neighborhood. I wasn't treated like a normal fifteen year old girl would be treated. I was abused: Mentally, physically, and in some rare cases sexually. My parents would come home and beat me with a bat or whip me with a belt. They even slapped me. They would call me a whore and a bastard. The neighborhood didn't like me either. They yelled at me and spit on me. I always felt like garbage. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a scared and beaten girl. My black-brown hair usually cover my right eye which turned from gorgeous brown to black and blue. Rarely will I ever go to school.
