Dandelion Wishes The dandelion dancers burdened with heavy drops of dew, Wave in the woebegone wind. Belittled by bluebonnet beauties and rejected by recherché roses, They are weeded from the field. But they are not disheartened for on their way to wonderland They collect the wishes of the weary. They wash them of their grime returning each wish to the dream it was before, And bring them on their journey. Once they reach the lands of Hope they send each dream back, With a kiss. The dreams drift home in a daze but when they reach their dreamer, They are dreams no more. Butterflies free of their chrysalis, the crystal stars that once were dreams, Bring light to the raging nightmares of reality. They shimmer against the rough canopy of dusk, and to those who dare seek them, They become the future.
