Silent Voices I haven't posted anything in a long time, but now there's a very important matter that I want to write about, and I apologize beforehand if this sounds like an unproductive rant unfit for this means of literary expression. I'm worried about the state of affairs in my country after the presidential elections. The world must know the elections in Mexico were won by the old ruling party by all fraudulent means possible, and now we're facing the return of the perfect dictatorship with its accompanying reign of corruption, repression, fear, lack of liberty of expression, poverty, and ignorance. I know my voice will be just a tiny whisper, but this time I don't want to remain silent knowing we'll fall prey to a group of thieves and murderers that don't want to help my country, but to abuse their position for the sake of their own greed and lust of power. I won't ask you to spread this message, nor even to like or comment my post, I just want the world to know the truth.

Loneliness In the past I always struggled trying to reach out people, but lately I've realized that the reason behind this is that I always had myself in mind when I wanted to meet someone, thinking about what the other person could give me back. This was the real reason behind my failure to meet people who could be my friends. Thank God He showed me how things really work: if you worry about others and think about them instead of being egotistic, you'll have a better chance to meet nice people and future friends, and even maybe that special person you've been looking for.

Hope How hard it is to feel uprooted when you thought you had found your place. Sorrow seems to overcome us, but we must not leave with regret, as a new beginning awaits in the days to come, and the hope of finding true love guides us.

Fading Memory It's strange how after all the pain I still remember you, but all the melancholy surrounding your memory has given way to something else, I can't say what is it. Maybe I just said good bye for the last time. Nevertheless, I know you'll haunt my dreams, and that from time to time you'll come back when I less expect it, because there are places that hold your image. I wonder when will your memory fade away, how long it will take for my heart to forget you, how much time will pass before I leave you behind. I know it'll happen someday, it's just that for some strange reason this time it's taking longer for you to disappear, even though I spent little time with you.
