Is happiness just a mirage? Or a mask to cover up real feelings? Because I've searched for it a million years, and never found the feeling. That others seem to have. That others seem to hold. Or maybe it's just a story that children are told. To make us believe in something not real. But happiness is as real to me as a fairy tale.
You know when #life seems the worst and everything around you is exploding. Everything around you that you care about vanishes. Then you look and for a minute time just stops and there it is. The thing that stops you from destroying yourself. Or the person. For me it was a girl named Sherry Heathers. Sherry Heathers was born with autism and no feeling in her right hand. She smiled and laughed all the time even when kids made fun of her and bullied her. Her face was always lit up and happy. It was a miracle she survived this long. For both her parents had abandoned her and she had abusive adoptive parents for most of her #life. I always wondered how she survived and I wondered how she kept smiling. Her hair was always frizzy all over her head and her front teeth stuck out about a mile long when she laughed, but she never was sad.
