19 Minutes To Save A #life (I'm just making this up as I go along) Chapter 1 I had always been afraid. Afraid of spiders, heights, dark, the unknown and most of all... Death. All around me, London underground had been transformed into a vision of Hell. Before the bomb dropped, I had felt a churning in my stomach. Anticipating the unknown, like when you are watching a horror film and you know the killer is going to jump out at any moment. I managed to stand up and winced at the sound of roaring metal. Screaming, praying, wailing, crying, sirens, moaning, calling, running; the sounds rattled through my ears as the stench of death seeped into my nostrils. I felt like I was swimming in the darkness, my body breaking the smoky air as if it were water... Black, ash filled and murky water. It had been a normal, boring day. I was the average male office worker, or should I say ex- office worker. I had been sacked from my job and was on my way home early to my grotty apartment; no money, no job, no family, no love, no #life. I stumbled across the platform and saw her, illuminated by the harsh glow of my I-phone torch. An angel trapped in Hell. To be continued...
