Overbearing Pride, The Practice Of Now as far as my understanding goes, we’re all made of the same essential bits and bobs, so by default no-one should be better than anyone purely on status or reputation, right? NO. WrongwrongWRONGWRONG. So take your self righteous stick of ignorance and bash it over your head until you’ve finished reading what I’m about to educate you with or until little fuzzy lines begin to block your vision. Twit. Thanks to the digital age, you can now become a self titled ‘Whatever the fuck you like’ just by simply adding [Whatever the fuck you like] after your name. Kate Smith? NO. KATE SMITH - MODEL - Average looking girl with experience in helping friends with failing photography projects and proud owner of a camera of some sort, maybe. Now this isn’t the problem as far as I’m bothered to throw my worthy 2 pence. What does bother me is the inevitable arrogance and sense of self worth that usually follows this bullshit barrage. Going back to my younger years, I’m solid on the fact that it was important to create a few fantasies in my #life. Slaying a dragon here and there, building ‘forts’ in trees and even pretending that Pokemon were real (Admittedly an idea which has failed to escape me since). However, this wouldn’t then equip me with the badge of ‘OhyesIfuckingcan’ and allow me to strut around asking for money to reward my heroic endeavours, or prodding my dad with a stick until he breaks down and weeps, thus handing the title ‘Man of House’ onto my worthy premature shoulders. My point is this, pretend you’re a model or a photographer, a producer, rockstar, pornstar or in my case, a writer. It’s fun, we love to do it. Just don’t use it as a means to propel your ego and act like you’ve earned it, you haven’t. Ramblings to be cut short, I think I hear my Pokedex ringing
