Elevator "Whoa, who's that?" I nudged Melrose, tilting my head towards the tall, jet black haired, sharp green eyed boy leaning against the tree in the schools courtyard. "Oh him? That's Nolan." "Nolan." My mouth watered. He turned, feeling my prying eyes on him. And I melted. We were in an old car garage all of a sudden, standing in front of an old elevator with flickering lights. The elevator was descending down. Floor ten. DING. Floor nine. DING. Floor eight. DING. I turned towards him, yanking on the sleeve of his shirt. "I can't do this Nolan...I'm scared of elevators." "It'll be fine." he whispered into my hair, pulling me closer. The elevator creaked open. An old poster advertising "The Titanic" with the sub heading "Coming Soon." wasn't the first thing I noticed in the extremely outdated interior. I traced my hand across the outside panel on the elevator. "Last inspected in 1979...." I muttered. "Nolan! It's 2012..!" "It'll be fine." He comforted. "I...I can't!" I realized tears were streaming down my face, as he pulled me into the elevator. I watched the rusted gold doors shut. Then the power went out. We were trapped in the dark. I screamed my throat raw. "Kylee?!" Melrose shook me. "Are you OK?!" "Oh...uh..." Nolan had looked away. "Don't you dare go near Nolan. He has...issues. School rumor is that his sister got ran over by a train...splat! Heard they had to scrape her off the tracks." my knees wobbled and my stomach went weak. "Are you serious?" "Yeah. He has counseling." "Oh." I watched him for a little while longer before pulling away from Melrose. "I'm going to go say hi." "Are you crazy?!" She smacked my arm. "Don't! He's so...creepy!" "What could go wrong?" I asked nonchalantly, striding towards him. I saw him smirk, aware that I was approaching him. "Hey, I'm Kylee." I greeted, noticing his eyes sweep over me disapprovingly. He grunted. "And you are...?" I waited. "Nolan." He said finally. "Oh. That name reminds me of fruit roll-ups." I said stupidly, shuffling awkwardly in my Toms. "Look. Just don't talk to me. 'pparently I'm just some freak that no one wants to hang around." He muttered, brushing past me. I followed him like a lost puppy. "Wait!" I yelped, catching up with him. "You walk fast." I laughed. He didn't laugh. He kept walking, more like jogging across the school, me lagging behind him. This was pointless. I shook my head, turning around when I realized I had wandered away from the courtyard. Now I was in a completely different place. It didn't even look like the newly remodeled school. It was...old. Peeking into the tinted glass doors, I saw an empty hallway. Pitch black. Then I saw a door with a sign that said STAIRCASE. Hm. Maybe that would take me to the new part of the school? I pried the door open, since it was rusted shut, then wandered down the stairs, sliding my hand across the wall, feeling for a light switch. My hand ran over something sharp, a stab of pain shooting up my veins. It stung like a bee bite. I clenched my teeth from crying out, walking quicker down the stairs. That's when the stairs ended (and I tripped over air) and a tiny light illuminated the room. There was the elevator. And there was Nolan leaning against it, giving me a lop sides smile. "Let's go for a ride."
