A Hard Working Planet For the past 28 years I have worked from Monday to Friday, many evenings, and more than a few weekends. When I'm not travelling I catch a 50 minute train home from London Waterloo. On Friday evening the train can be quieter than other nights. As I look around there are men & women and some who look little more than girls and boys. Many are asleep after their week at work. Many, like me, are on 6am train in the morning and are on the 6pm or later train in the evening. So to the wives and mothers, brothers and sisters, husbands and fathers, & sons and daughters. I pay tribute to us all. Whatever city, town or village that you return to tonight wherever it may be, in any country in the world. This weeks challenges are behind you. Next week has more to offer. And on Monday morning we will all be here again. Bring it on. P.s. To those of you who work weekends, in whatever work you do, a special note of thanks. Although I hanker for the days of keeping Sunday special your weekend work makes #life easier for the rest of us. I hope that your rest is good when it comes.
