Peter It was a warm, dry night and the smell of sea and fishing boats filled the dock. In the darkness, a small hunched man stood in the shadows, waiting for the candlelight to die, so he could finally complete his job. He had been waiting there for quite some time now and was impatient to finish so he could get to the inn and drink. He looked up at the cliffs that surrounded the docks and houses, watching the seagulls fly around to find their nests. He looked back to the window of the Shipwrightery and noticed the candle had expired. A rush of dread and excitement filled him , and suddenly he felt cold, sick and shivery. He took out his flask and emptied the remnants of swill into his mouth, cringing as it hit his taste buds and thinking about how soon he would be able to drink rum again. A vast wave hit the docks with some force and splashed his boots with sea water, disturbing his thoughts and bringing him back down to earth and to the job at hand.
