Andy Goram The Football historians would note in Season 1995/96 Rangers met Celtic on six occasions (in the Premier League, Coca Cola League Cup and Scottish Cup) without defeat. Three victories and three draws were the results. Too me that's not bad. To remain unbeaten against their greatest rivals all year owed a great debt to the remarkable dependability of Andy Goram in goals. Instead of listing all those amazing brilliant saves after save, let's just recall one of some of the greatest saves of his goalkeeping art. In the traditional 'Ne' erday' (well actually January 3rd in 1996 due to television commitments) encounter, the game was evenly balanced a 0-0 when Celtic midfielder Phil O'Donnell struck a blistering left-foot shot on the run from just outside the box. Goram's fingertips pushed the ball onto the post and Richard Gough cleared. A truly marvellous save.
