Harley Quinn X Joker Chapter 1: where is he? It was a typical boring evening for harley quinn. She was still in prison which meant there was nothing she could do but sit and wait for her knight in purple armour to come and rescue her. She sat on her bed acting calm as if she didn't have a care in the world. If she didn't them the guards outside would taunt her about her puddin not caring about her enough to break her out. So she remained calm on the outside to show she wasnt worrid but inside she was. She'd been in prison for almost 3 months now. She'd obviously been in prison longer in the past but that was when joker was in prison as well. Normally if she was stuck in prison and joker was free, he would have broke her out by now. The longest he'd ever taken before this was 5 weeks so 3 months felt like an eternity. Where is he? Has he abandoned her. Red had always told her she was just a toy to him and she'd never believed her. She was so confident that she was more to him than that but now she was starting to doubt herself. Maybe she really was just a toy to him and after all this time he's finally gotten bored of her. The thought of this alone brought tears to harley's eyes. forgetting about her little act to stay calm, she started to quietly whimper to herself. After a few minutes her whimpers became louder and louder until they were wails of sorrow which she thought would never stop. After half an hour of endless crying a nurse entered harley's cell. She was holding a needle with a yellow solution in it. Harley instantly recognised this as her medicine to calm down her hallucination problem. Typical. If a patient is distressed people automatically assume it is to do with there mental 'issues'. These people never consider that it might simply be due to their thoughts and feelings. She might be a monster but it doesn't mean that she doesn't hurt when she thinks of something sad. Her medicine automatically took a turn for the worst. Her hallucinations, for once, weren't bothering her. So her medicine started to 'treat' her for nothing. It caused her cries of pain to turn into hysterical laughter. The nurse's face turned a shade paler at the sight of her patient. Harley's giggle wasn't exactly..... comforting so naturally the nurse would react in fear of the haunting laugh. Once her laughter had died down to quiet giggles, harley began to feel angry. This was jokers fault. If he had broke her out instead of abandoning her, she wouldn't be such an emotional reck. At that moment harley decided that enough was enough when she saw him again she was going to find out why he had left her, even if it meant getting a beating or two. For a brief moment she considered leaving him for good but instantly took it back. Harleyknew that she wouldn't survive without him, he made her. Even if she tried she knew she would go running back into his arms whether he liked it or not. No. Her original plan was much better. Now all she had to do was wait either for him or an opportunity to escape.
