Night Crawlett The only thing I could hear was the creeping foot steps coming up the stairs to my room. It wasn't my dog because he sat at the bottom of my bed with his ears perked up listening as I was. My cat was also awake, but she was trying to find a comfy spot to sleep on. My dog and cat knew that the sound was just out my bedroom. The German Shepard Oliver and White cat Elli May were ready to pounce on whatever creeper of the night was out there waiting for me. My Sister was down the hall, but I could not wake her up. She would tell my Grandparents I was having those awful dreams again. They all worried that I wasn't normal. I didn't socialize, and I didn't like people. I knew some of my fathers friends back in Ireland. Here in London there isn't a single person I actually interact with. The creeper sounded ghostly as if it actually was a ghoul or foul creature. I didn't believe a single word of that rubbish from the stories that my grandfather told. My grandfather was always watching me making sure I didn't fall into my old habit of those dreams. My dreams were the least of my worries as the knob began to turn. Oliver bent over in a steady position ready to fight and Elli May ready to pounce. The sounds from outside the door were gone. The creature had disappeared. I didn't know what I was hearing, but I knew it wasn't the sound of my dreams. I couldn't be landing in those again. It was impossible. I stayed up to be ready to attack the dreadful noise, but a dark curtain pulled me away. My dream was a little different in a way I had never seen. It started in Ireland, but it seemed different. I was just a small lad playing with someone. I couldn't make out this girl, but I knew she was someone important to the story. She had the deepestblue eyes you have ever seen, golden brown hair so long it touched the ground, freckles around her nose making her look like perfection, and the straightest white teeth. She was everything my grandparents wanted for me. She was on the swings with me, but it felt different. Like I was there twice before. I was sitting on the swim talking to this girl, but I was actually standing behind the slide watching this conversation. I could hear everything they said, but I didn't really have an interest at first. It felt so complicated listening there. "Why is your mother never here? You promise everyday that I'm going to meet her, but she has never even showed up to see you," I said. I didn't mean it as harmful or rude. I just wanted to start a conversation and I was curious. "Asher, my mother is up there with my brother and you should be apologizing for how you said it." She leaned down to cover her tears. I rubbed her on the back and tried to show her my acceptance. "It was just a question, don't cry. I didn't mean-" She stood up with great force and stormed off. I still didn't know her name and I needed this information. Younger Asher isn't so great with ladies. The girl kept walking until she stopped and stood still. Young Asher got up from the swings to chase her. I didn't have any choice but to follow him too. All I saw was her getting thrown to the ground and Young Asher getting a black eye from protecting her. I guess that's when I opened my eyes to the sun shining into my room. I glanced over to see what time it was. 7:19 was the earliest time I could imagine! I got out of bed to go get on gear to horseback riding. Oliver loved my horse Camile because she would always race her. Camile was just a tiny bit faster than Oliver. It was pretty fun to watch them race across the grounds. Both of my favorite things in th world getting along so well.
