October Leaves October, yes the month I love, Yet, leaves fall down from trees above, Crunching sounds beneath my feet, Corpses now; once green, once sweet. But now, they are so stiff and brown, All #lifeless bodies upon the ground. Their bloodless veins are black as death, Returning to their mother earth. But wait, I see a ghostly sight! Not filled with fear but with delight. A gentle breeze blows past me by, As leaves take flight toward the sky! © 8 October 2015
