~Sweet Dreams~ Paul the bunny lived alone in a tree stump on the hill. Not many other animals visited him or even talked to him- but with good reason. Everybody knew the tales of Paul's homocidal outbursts and history in mental institutions, but most beleived they were mere myths. That is, until it happened to them. Every Halloween, he'd disappear only to eventually be seen once more, his fur brown-ish red- almost as if it was splattered with blood. Halloween approached in Bunville, the village of rabbits. But rather than shopping for candy and fun costumes, the rabbits stocked up on supplies before their quarentine. They didn't know how long they'd be there, as they never came out until he returned. He often left for weeks at a time. Even those who didn't beleive in the legends hid away. For Halloween night, Paul the crazy rabbit would disappear. Nobunny knew where he'd go, but they locked themselves away for safety. Finally, the morning of Halloween came. Everybunny rushed to get the last of the food and other quarentine supplies before being locked in. As the night grew closer, the town began to pack into their disaster shelter. Everybunny settled and awaited the night. The stars and#moonrose in the sky and a mysterious green fog thinly coated the grass. They locked the doors and prayed for their safety. Suddenly, the town widow, Miss Petunia, yelled in terror. "Wait! My baby's out there! My sweet baby Peter! He went to get last minute carrots!" She cried. Somebunny in the crowd gasped. "Peter! He's there! Outside!" He yelled pointing out the window. Peter was hauling a large bag of carrots as fast as he could towards the shelter. Then, everybunny's worst nightmares all in one place. Green fog rose from the ground, creating a thick ominous cloud on the ground. A dark silhouette of a tattered creature began to emerge from the mist. Paul. His broken limp made a steady thumping noise on the ground. The mayor scrambled to unlock the door and dropped the keys in the hustle. Even when ge picked them up, his panick disabled him to find the right key. He saw Paul getting closer and closer to Peter- who had now dropped the carrots and attempted to run to the doors, spraining his ankle in his struggle. The mayor finally found the key and was just about to get it into the key hole, until the horrified screams and cries rising from the crowd stopped him in his tracks. He looked up and both Peter and Paul were gone. Neither of them were seen for over two weeks, until someone spotted Paul's head through the window of his home. Brown-ish red stains splattered across his fur. The rabbits emerged from their shelter, knowing they were now safe until Halloween. Many of them were still horrified from Peter's assumed demise. They longed for revenge but were too frightened. If they ran away, they'd be found and targeted. They were trapped in their own hell, with Paul as their ruler. Peter was never seen again and Paul still disappears every Halloween to claim yet another victim to this day. Sweet dreams...
