Don't you just hate it when you can feel the germ of a great bit of writing is in your head, and yet there's no way you can get it out on paper or screen. You dream about, it's bouncing round your head teasing you when you're out and about. Then it starts to move forward. Your mind is slowly swallowed up by this single thought . It takes over your very being. You grab your tablet, note pad and pen and think ' this is it!!! ' you place your finger in the key board or the pen is poised and nothing. A big fat nothing. And you shout at the world ' why the ( fill in what you would say here please, feel free) is #life playing such a cruel trick on me?" Ah but the trick is not fully played out. Picture the scene its 1 am you want to go to sleep as you're exhausted. You've picked the dvd you're going to listen to on the player, placed the ears piece in your ear, settled down under the duvets just so, the cats are quiet, and. BAM!!!!!!!!!!!. The idea from early comes at you at warp bloody ten and now you're up till silly past stupid typing/ writing away fully engrossed in this story. It's like magic, nothing needs planning, nothing needs explaining, the characters are all there, the dialogue is brilliant, even the story line is flowing like a broken tap. You don't want it to stop and you try to keep going. The next day you go back to the work from the night before and where you bashed out a good ten pages, now you can't finish the end of one page. All the emotional juice is dry, all the creative thought has popped its last pop. Welcome to my world on a daily basis. In moments like those I prefer to go with the flow and start a fresh. #life's too short to tear hair out and beat yourself up over a plot. I call those moments ' touched by the author within' They're magical for me, I seem to switch off and just let my hands take over , if I'm typing. It's like someone else is doing the work and I'm just moving my fingers for them. I'm not crazy, trust me I'd be the first person to say that if it was the case..I wait for those magical moments, because I can't wait to see what I've written at the end of it. Sometimes these moments last a few days or as I just explained one brief moment. Either way, man a feeling it is.
