The Girl With No Recollection Chapter 2 Her vision started blurring. She couldn't tell if she was walking in a straight line or all over the hallway. Dante stayed by her side though. Every so often they would stop And he would gently push her against the cold walls. It felt good against her sweat drenched skin. "Dante, where... Are w-we?" They had passed many doors but showed no signs of entering or slowing down. "We are almost there." "Okay, okay." They continued to walk down the hall and she had a good feeling about this one door. She was right. Dante let go of her hand and placed his on the knob. He opened the door and she watched him enter the room. "Dante, is that you?" A boy's voice called from inside. Following his call, the background noise of chatter stopped. "Yes Marco. I brought a friend." "Dante, what do you mean a friend?" A boy about her age walked out of the room and into the hall. "Dante, why did you bring her here? You should have gotten one of us." He took hold of her arm and lead her into the room. He sat her down in a chair and another boy handed Marco a glass of water that he handed to her. The glass began to slip through her hands so he took it from her just as it was about to begin its journey to the wood floor. Marco then proceeded to bring the glass to her mouth. After a few desired sips of the water he set it town on the table to his left. "What is your name?" She gazed at the 15 boys staring at her. Her eyes were brought to Marco's. They were soft and compassionate. She remembered his question. She couldn't answer his question. Not because she couldn't speak. "You don't remember do you?" An older boy was leaning on the chair she was sitting on. She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. Dante grabbed her hand and squeezed it. Marco broke the silence. "You must be hungry."
