Come on, open the door please?” Carolina could hear sobbing behind the door. “Go away!” Chrissy. “I don’t want to see you! Any of you!” A silent tear ran down Carolina’s cheek. Rian and Leon joined her at the bottom of the door, listening to Chrissy weep on the other end. Their hearts shattered for their 16 year old. “This was your idea, Rian!” Carolina screamed. “This was all your fault! Now she won’t even look at us!” “Carolina, this is not all Rian’s fault. We had no choice. There was...no way around the final decision. It is what had to happen, whether she hates us for the rest of her #life for it, or not,” Leon said, rubbing carolina’s shoulders. The three of them waited at the end of the stairs for over an hour. Eventually the sound of crying dissipated, but they could tell that she was still crying. Rian reached up, and lightly knocked on the door. She didn’t answer, but he started speaking anyways. “Chrissy, can I come in and talk to you,” Rian asked. Still she didn’t answer. “I know you’re hurting, but if you let me come in there and explain what is going on...and why, maybe it won’t hurt so much.” Leon and Carolina watched as Rian failed to coax Chrissy into unlocking the door. They waited another hour before they all decided they had to get into the room. She wouldn’t like their methods, but Chrissy already hated them, so they figured why not. Rian pulled out his key to the room, a key Chrissy never knew they had, because they never thought they would need it, and opened the door. He looked at Chrissy laying on Baxter. Carolina and Leon watched him enter the room, and shut the door behind him. “Chrissy, I think we need to talk...”
