Perfect Second That one second in time, Where everything's just fine. Smiles all round, No frown to be found. The glow of a room, With completely no gloom. Hot chocolates being sipped, Mugs gently tipped. The perfect distraction, In that one moment of action. Negative thoughts shooed away, Left for a second with nothing to say. The negatives got hushed, My dreams no longer crushed. What can be done in one second, When your hopes are no longer threatened? So I look up and smile, Making the most of what's worthwhile.
