Your Story Every day, the sun rises and you wake up and drag yourself out of bed to pour a bowl of cereal. Eating your cereal, you will be thinking about how tired you are and how much you want to go back to bed. Meanwhile, your TV in the other room is switched to a report about a missing child. After finishing breakfast and getting dressed, you will leave your house and head to your workplace. Walking down the street, you pass a homeless man slowly freezing to death. You suddenly realise that you forgot to bring your lunch and despair. How will you get through the day? The vending machines at the workplace only do unhealthy snacks and you are supposed to be going on a special diet. Later in the evening, you walk home, hungry, complaining about work. You walk past a 6 year old crying for his mommy who he can't find. It's getting dark and this child doesn't have a coat to protect him from the winter night's cold. You don't do anything to help instead wondering whether you should have a takeaway for tea rather than cook. Five years later and you have lost your job and, being unable to pay your bills, lost the house, your friends turned you away when you begged to stay for a bit. You now survive on the street with no body that cares for you. Winter is here and you don't know whether you can survive the cold. Looking up, you see another person look at you then walk onwards as if you don't exist. The cold is seeping into your bones. Hunger gnaws at your stomach and you can't help but wonder why you didn't notice how long the world has worked this way.
