Wilson #poem WW11 It's a yes or no answer Shall I kill thousands of my own men Or witness and ignore the screams of more? Risk innocent hearts to sinful soldiers, at last become captive holders? Brainwash my own that death of others Is alright to the grieving mothers? Those departed to the war, Not know what behold the shore Foreign land they walk upon Open fires blazing on Burning through the frozen land To warm what once they had in hand Reports of death coming near Bringing others to their fears Hoping to close the deal Caring not of what others feel Shattered innocence Forever missing; adolescence We united stand among Centuries of longing to become Joining not out of hate But because of destiny and fate
