Welcome I am Lemon drop. I live in an island unknown to man, as it is so well hidden from the other places, far off out at sea. I am definitely not the only one, though. This island is dominated by my people, the horses. We have evolved over time to become clever, and we live like no regular horse, we are anthropomorphic*. Ok, so I think you now know about my land and my people, so now, let me tell you about myself. I am a week away from starting secondary (high/middle) school. I don't even know if I want to go. I miss my old friends from primary (elementary) school, especially Citrus squeeze, my best friend of the lot. I pretty much only met a few people on my induction day, and they were Fifi and Surprise. Fifi was a blue unicorn, with white hair with a pink streak. She did not take kindly to me, as she did seem a bit snooty. I guess she just doesn't like school much. Surprise, however, I met her accidentally after she crashed into me while doing flying tricks. Flying tricks, you say? Surprise is a white Pegasus with neon yellow hair. She apologized, and said she had a crazy streak inside her, and added that she was the class clown in her primary. I also found out she was autistic**, and didn't fit in with most of her classmates. I like Surprise; we are on the brink of becoming friends. I can imagine a good future with her! In this series, I shall write to you all regularly about what's happening on my new #life at secondary. God knows what is waiting for me there! ~Lemon drop, signing off. *If something is anthropomorphic, it is something non-human, but acts and lives like one. ** Autism is a mental condition where the affected person is known to do involuntary sounds and movements, and sometimes has difficulties communicating with people. However, autistic people have been known to be very gifted at certain things (art,etc).
