Half blood Chapter 1 It was a warm summer day in Larisa, the woods were seemingly calm, just as if there were no dangers. But, as Anne Blackwood knew, it was always dangerous. The sharks would be hunting, the trees stirring, the Green-Liger pride would be on the prowl as well. The quicksand-swamp was letting out its poisonous gasses as it always did. The Hawk-men would be in the air in moments and the Foilagers would have to run and hide while their warriors kept the predators at bay. Anne was different from the other warriors. She had a secret that only she and three others knew. She was half Hawk-man and half Foilage Warrior. She kept her wings hidden and her magic cloaked in secrecy. Only her parents and brother knew aside from her. Anne prepared for battle as the battle horns were blown. She held her broadsword in a position that she could either sheath it or use it to strike the Hawk-men. She summoned the battle void and fed all emotions into the Abys that formed in her mind. She floated freely and calmly as a wave of Hawk-men flew toward her. Anne screamed as she lead her men into battle. As she fought she danced and as she danced she fought, that was the way of the warriors. To dance as they fought and fight as they danced. The human world was only sixty leagues away and seemed closer in battle. One of the Hawk-men grabbed Anne from the back and took her into the air. Thirty minutes later it dropped her on the border of the line separating the Forest world from the Human world. Anne's heart pounded in her ears as the Hawk-man began to chant a spell. Anne knew the spell and what it did. She would be better off in the human world. Anne summoned the void once more. This time, she fed information of the human world into its flame. Soon the scenery began to change as Anne phased into the human world.
