The Boy That Became My #life I ran and I ran; I saw no one, nothing but his image flashing in my head and my lungs torn to rags. I couldn't wipe it out no matter how much I tried. His presence remained with me even though he was not here; I heard a large thud as I turned the corner. People were crowding around something; my heart jumped a several more beats, for some reason I knew it was him. I frantically pushed and barged through the bodies all crowding over him and tripped in to the core of what had formed the crowd. I looked towards my foot and there he was lying on his side, eyes closed and a bleeding nose. I softly touched his cheek, he was frozen stiff; it sent chills through me and I finally broke down while squeezing him tightly against my chest. I hadn't checked for any signs but I heard someone say he was alive and they have called an ambulance. I gently and cautiously placed my hand on his pulse and waited. His heartbeat was so loud that I could feel the vibrations run through me like a force of energy. I knew he was far too important to pass by. I needed him more than ever. I should've told him sooner, hiding it only made it worse. Now he hated me and I hated myself for causing all this trouble. It could have all gone a lot smoother if I had done things differently. I guess I was a coward, too scared of even my own shadow. He probably Sussed it out himself; I mean it's obvious. He looked nothing like me and I was just to young to be his mother.
