Home Alone Where I can wear sweat pants and my sports bra Or just walk around wearing nothing at all Where I can talk to myself without being called crazy And lounge around without being called lazy Where I can sleep all day and watch tv all night Instead of complaining all day about the super bright light Where I can dance like a maniac Where I can sing as loud as I want Only these cluttered walls to watch me flaunt With my brush-like microphone I'll make it on my own And the only place I'm really me, Where no one else will ever see, Is when I'm home alone. Someday I'll breakaway But will it really help? I mean, this is the best place to be In fact, it is a part of me Here, I can be a prince I could be a princess I can be that stereotypical dentist I can be an actress, A writer, Or a mattress And not spend my whole day worrying about my status Someday I will have left And this might all be gone But the only place I'm really me, The only place you'll never find me, Is when I'm home alone.
