The ocean was a thunderous grey but for the horizon, the sun broke through in blades of magnificent light that shimmered on the distant wave faces. his dog scoured the fresh shore line as the ocean retreated back, he looked out to sets as they broke over newly formed banks, crumbling from the left and peeling smoothly to the right his pulse racing as his mind slipped along this untouched swell. He looked up at the sky, searching for break in the clouds. Clumps of blue dotted about the sky unevenly. rain fell from dark patches in showers drifting in the wind in the distance like a thin vail of damp velvet. He turn and headed back to his bus as his dog followed, following the moving tide line. " Perfect, time for a capper before the tide slacks and begins to push again." It was late in the afternoon, pickups and vans began to turn up and people began to gather checking out the swell and how it was breaking. The thin band of sun on the horizon expanded as the sun pushed through the thick darken sky, bringing light and color to the rocky shore line. The smell of freshly ground coffee filled the bus as the kooker boiled on the log burner, turning the heads of those passing out side.
