Excerpt from Chapter 1 of the first book. I close my eyes trying to savor the clear blue sky, the neighboring mountains, and the overwhelming scent of lavender that still lingers even now that I'm awake. It's no good, the happy carefree feeling of my childhood fades and I can't get back there.
