Fears "Wait!" I cried running after her. "Don't leave me!" I pleaded desperately. I kept running and running, but she just kept inching away... I woke. It was just a dream, I told my self. All a dream. The room around me was pitch black so I couldn't see a thing. I was lying on something soft, a mattress I told myself, and my head was resting on something that was comfy, and warm from where I had been lying. I swung my legs off the side and felt the fluffy carpet beneath my feet and began to walk. I put my arms out in front of me, feeling my way in the darkness. I quickly come to a hard solid wall and slid my hands along it. A window? Then I felt the curtains. I swiped them open and a blaze of sunlight filled the room. Then I realised, everything around me was white, even the mattress, the pillow, the carpet, the walls and the curtains. Then I also realised that the whole room was so clean, that it gave you the feeling that you shouldn't be there, that it's only for show, that it hasn't been touched in years. That's when I heard the footsteps. Then came the sound of a key turning in a lock, and a door that I had never even noticed swung open. There was no one in the doorway. But that didn't mean no one was there. I then heard the whispers that changed my #life forever. "Can she see us?" Came a voice, "No you idiot, she can't even hear us." Came another. "I can hear you... Where ever you are," I said "So does she know?" The first voice asked. "Know what?" I said. "I don't think she does... Should we tell her now, or let her find out for herself?" The second voice replied. "Let me know what?!" I'm almost shouting now, but they still don't seem to notice that I am in their presence. "Calm yourself, you will learn all in good time." Came the first voice again, but was that directed at me, or their companion? Then the second one said "Hey, if I was her, I would want to know if my death was in the next two hours." At that very moment, I ran out of the door, down a set of stairs and into the open air. Where am I? Why am I here? A voice then tells me, taking my arm "It's time," and before I could argue, I was being whisked away down a long corridor and into a dark room. I was sat down on a chair and a dull light was flicked on. I had to squint to be able to see. That's when the tears came. I couldn't help it. And then the door closed, locking me inside, trapping me and my thoughts alone. Then, something happened. Someone else had entered. Then they spoke. "I'm here to take you home."
