Schrödinger's Cat Schrödinger imagined a cat in a room, with a barrel of nitro with a 50% chance of going off. Schrödinger suggested that before you look in the room, the cat is in a superposition of two states; dead and alive. But when you look into the room, nature makes its decision and the cat is either dead or alive, but not both.
