Sinking Sand If man was mere, Then I'm merely a man, Pick up my hat from the sinking sand, Press it right so it snugs my head, And walk along to the islands edge. I touched the ocean today, I felt it's rhythm I sunk in it's sway, With my head doved forward I pressed with my lips, And dove in giving a simple kiss. Who knew that the ocean would engage me in water, Betting me that I would be slaughtered, Not by the usual edge of a blade, But simply by the water in me swayn. I drifted along shore to new islands hand, And picked up my hat from the sinking sand
