Midnight Mass I'm currently lying in my bed with my wife slumbering beside me, whilst I am unable to sleep due to my mind racing with ideas of one topic or another. Nothing all too important, yet they find place in the forefront of my conscious enough so that I find myself wide-eyed, but not too "bushy-tailed". I fear that in the morning my eyes shall be anything but "wide". And so I ventured to the App Store and stumbled upon Opus, instantly recognising it as both a saviour in times of need such as now, and the tempting devil leading me down the road of procrastination when my mind should be focused on other things. This is not my first post, that was upon the subject of my username: theboywithathorninhisside, referring to The Smiths song 'The Boy With The Thorn in His Side', one of my favourites by the band from my native land of Manchester. Other than an avid Smiths fan, I can also claim to be of mixed English and Chinese ethnicity (something which can cause me to pause when presented with an equality form to fill in); a medical student who is taking time out after fourth year to pursue a PhD in Cell & Tissue Engineering; a husband at the often frowned upon age of 23; and a bassist. I'm sure psychologists would be able to tell me something of myself in how I have listed these as my 'features' and I am certain my wife will have something to say about medicine coming before husband. Perhaps my sister will psycho-analyse me next year when she graduates. I can also say for certain that I have a tendency to start many things but quickly lose interest in them. So do not expect to see many follow-ups to this, although I do not know really who I'm addressing this to... I suppose I shall finish this rambling with a Chinese proverb: 'Less talking mouth, more eating rice'. Yes I think that sums it up nicely. Adios.
