The Water Her body felt light, lighter than she had ever known it to feel. Yet still her chest ached like weights had been placed upon it. The world around her had taken on a different tone and texture. Her nose, her ears and her lips could afford her no sensation. She forced her eyes to open, despite the sting that greeted them. She sat up from the water where she had been submerged and breathed in #life. In that moment she realised what had held her down. She decided then, never to let the world submerge her again.
