Finding Tracie Stone Chapter 2 Winter break started out really slow. I was tired of sitting at home. I got off my bed and walked slowly over to my mirror. Maybe I should lay off the sweets. I'll join a gym or something. But then again I don't have money. Being a teenager sucks. My mom walked in unexpectedly and gave me a firm look. "Tracie sit down." My mom was the type of parent who could go from acting like a young spunky 16 year old to a mature 37 year old. As much as I know how fun she could be, I knew that this conversation must've been serious. "What's wrong mom?" "You know that vacation you were really hoping on going to..." "yes! To Prague! Why... What happened?" "your ticket got screwed up some how and now there isn't one for you. I'm so sorry honey." I looked away from her and back into the mirror and stared at my reflection for a brief moment. Then I returned my attention back to my mom. The reflection of my self still showed vividly through her deep brown eyes. "Then why don't you and dad go. It's just 2 weeks. I can hold the house down." "Are you okay with that? You seemed so excited to go. I don't want to feel guilty." "Mom it's fine. I was thinking about jogging this whole break anyways." "I was hoping you'd considered that before it got to late." We both laughed loudly. My mom leaned in and gave me a warm hug. Then she got up and left quickly. I went over to my dresser and dropped my head down into the unfolded clothing. I honestly don't even think I own anything to jog in. Maybe Sarah does. Thank god she lives across the street. I'll take a visit tomorrow. I need rest so I can begin my jog. Later that night I lay in bed. Wondering where I should start my exulting work out journey. It'd be simpler to just run around the block a couple times. But I don't need the neighbors to watch me. I tilted my head over to my window. The light winter breeze blew the trees gently. Then I had an idea. "I'll go jog in the Forrest..."
