Child Unrequited and unfulfilled, I'm not as smart as that girl, I'm not as pretty as the other girl, and the one you were talking about the other day is far nicer than me. We walked home from school together today and the conversation wasn't awkward- I even made you laugh a few times- but you'll keep refusing to see me as anything more than a friend. The other day you asked me whether I was happy, it came out the blue. I lied and said I was, but I don't think you believed me. You stare at me sometimes and I have to stop myself looking back at you because I don't trust the look in your eyes. That look is a figment of my imagination and you're just a damn child that doesn't know what he wants.
