How We Got there C H A P T E R 1 I looked up , staring at his ripped blue curtains . He was the boy of my dreams, and I just had to see him. How was I going to get up to his second story window ? My eyes shot to a creaky tree, with a thin branch leading right to his room. I gripped my hands to a piece of lose bark , and started to climb. The bark ripped blisters into my hand , letting the blood drip down. I reached for his window sill , then heard a deep voice yell my name. "Kenzie?" it screamed. I turned around to see Brandon below. My body lost feeling, and I fell from the tree . Before I knew it , everything went black.
