Things Will Happen-5 I awoke naked, Alex's warm body against mine. I kiss him, waking him, and he smiles. "Good morning." I yawn and smile too. "Morning." I feel as though I have never been filled with such a strong feeling of love when I remember the job interview at noon. I glance to the clock and sigh. 11. "What's wrong?" Alex senses my sudden declination in emotion. "Um," I question telling him. "Well.. The job interview is in an hour." He kisses my neck. "Go, it pays good money." I felt a tear. "Alex, I don't know if I want to do any of that anymore now that I fell in love with you." His eyes are cloudy and his face loses expression, and I worry I've upset him somehow. "the question is whether or not you want to go." I bit my lip. A part of me ached for it, the remembrance of what I did in my younger days before I changed. But I love Alex. He kissed me again. "Here, how about this," he offers. "Go, and if it gets too much, come back." I hop up half heartedly. "Okay." I get ready and go to the door. Alex thinks I've gone, and that I'm not looking. But what I see is him crying. -- "Glad to see you back." the interviewer said with a grin. "How old did you say you were?" I frowned. "30." He raised an eyebrow. "No. You look like you're fucking 21." I blushed. "Uh, thanks." He winked and clapped. "Okay, you're a kindergarten teacher, having a parent teacher conference with a student's parent. Action!" "Wait," I stopped him. "Don't you think it should be an older grade? Like 11th or 12th." He thought. "It makes sense. Okay, now go to your desk. Action!" I sat at the desk, and a man walked in, I guess my co star. "Mrs. Callaway?" I glanced up. "Yes?" I hoped my acting skills were good enough. Tey'd paid me 300$- up front. In cash. "I'm Mr. Adams," he held out a hand, which I shook. "I'm here about my daughter." I sighed. "Yes, Alexa..." I made up a name. "I afraid she's probably going to be suspended for the fight she was in." "Please no," he said as I stood up, leaning against the desk. "She was going to be valedictorian." "I'm sorry, Mr. Adams." "Please," he pleaded, and I wondered why such a good actor was here. He gently touched my arm. "Is there nothing I can do?" He slowly moved in an just as our lips were about to collide I yelped "STOP!"
