By Myself I'm by myself or by your side, When I'm most content in my stride, Matching your speed but not your grace, Walking towards a pleasant place, A pretty place I once espied. Our feet, beating paths lain outside, Slaves to this inanimate guide, In belief of finding solace, I'm by myself. Through woods and up hills we abide, To see the Sun and Earth collide Delicately in warm embrace, On a bench we've found our palace, Upon this bench I've realised, I'm by myself.
