Breath of #life Never have I seen a man so sadly suffocate Despite his plea to those who madly subjugate A hold so strong he could no naught but choke Behold his wrong; he thought, he spoke He knew not if he saw the pale angel of death When the law, wreathed in white, constricted his breath Have we come to the point where no man may Garner “Respect those who exploit the murder of a martyr” “Where is your proof? Why this civil unrest?” Where is the truth in the drivel we’re fed? Protect and serve; but of whom do we speak? Reject their words; make room for the weak To write of what might occur in this frustration To right the might that spurs machinations To speak out against power in this asylum of silence To seek against, in this hour, the violence of tyrants Persevere in the shadow where they disguise their lies See the fear that they hallow, despite our cries And who are they? And who are you? We’re all the same, humans through and through So ask their names and quell their fear Let’s end this game; let’s all draw near To bring about peace from death and strife Let the chaos cease in this breath of #life
